The same went for the first round of TheatreSports games I taught them. They embraced the games and actually performed them very well. We worked through more games than I expected and we were able to include some that I had slated for tomorrow. There are so many games to learn and each have a reason for exploring. I can hardly wait until we can shout out a game and everyone knows what to do. I am looking forward to practicing these games and getting really good at them with this class.
I was impressed by this group’s immediate ability to collaborate. I am looking forward to their growth as they face other challenges. I hope they keep this level of willingness to play nice in the sandbox.
Self-reflective wishes for myself: I am a bit rusty with the games and would like to have more games in my back pocket. I found I was a bit flustered that we move so quickly through the games. I will have to make sure I have a bunch of back-up games ready.
Self-reflective cheers for myself: I thought my original plan to use the 3 hours as three focus areas seems to work well. It helps to shape the class into 3 distinct types of activity that gives the group a sense of predictability in what to expect in the class.
